We are once again in the throes of basketball viewing as parents. Andy plays on the Hillcrest Junior Varsity team and Jose, its Junior High team - particularly the seventh grade.
Tonight, Hillcrest played Underwood and all games, including Jose's, were at Hillcrest. That doesn't happen often. Usually if Hillcrest JV and Varsity play at home, Jose plays the same team but its an away game for our kids. Doug and I have split our time...I attend Jose's games because I usually start my work earlier in the mornining and take off in the afternoon to make Jose's games which start at 5 and Doug works until 4:30 but can make Andy's games more easily.
tonight, however, we got to watch both...together!!!!
Jose made his first basket tonight! Yay, Jose! Keep up the great work.
He's a tough defender, too.
Andy scored 9 points in his JV game. Way to go, Andy!
We're proud of both of you!
JP and Julie were able to be at the games. (JP had a business appointment during Andy's game though) and they saw Jose's first basket. Pretty neat. And they sat with us and cheered on Hillcrest. JV and Varsity both won.
Wayne was taking an evening college class and Nancy was assistant dean at the girls dorm to help the head dean for the evening. Breiden, Nancy said, was a bit adventurous, crawling like crazy and getting near the steps :-0.
So she called and asked if we'd watch him during the game. OF COURSE!!!! So we got to watch Breiden with JP and Julie nearby and Nancy's sister Suzanne, her husband, Eric and their children. Breiden loves his young cousins and his face beamed as they came by to say hi. Such a neat family.
And Breiden enjoyed "brushing" Julie's long, thick black hair.
A fun evening!

I am so glad I went to our comments on Breiden's birthday and found your blog. I didn't know that you had one. Isn't it fun and such a good way to keep connected. We are so looking forward to May. We always enjoy coming to Fergus and visiting family. See you then.
